A DAY OF FIRSTS!!!!

Today is a big day for Amanda and I. July 14,2009 marks the first “official” day of our eventual trek down to Peru. Two pivotal things have occurred today which will help set the tone for the next year and a half. The first is this blog entry. The second is even more exciting. Our newsletters are FINALLY in the mail. You will notice it says, “June” up top, and originally that is when it was written. Unfortunately, there is not a book out there (that I know of) to tell you how much work goes into one single newsletter. The fact that they are in the mail heading to various addresses all over the US makes me feel a sense of relief.

Now we just have to get cracking on the next one.

Apart from the joy of this day, there is one thing that God has really been pressing on my heart. Currently there is a missionary team in Bolivia which we have heard some shocking news about. Amanda and I do not know them personally, but God spreads the news fast, and our path’s have crossed over the internet. Just recently they experienced a devastating loss in their ministry. A bus accident took three beautiful young women from their youth group and injured several more. We know that God is Mighty in all things, and He most assuredly is working through this situation. I would simply ask that you would pray for Joshua and Julie Marcum as well as those that have been effected by this tragedy. I strongly encourage you to check out their blog to learn more.

Marcum Family Blog- explains the current situation, along with updates

Thank you for stopping by and checking us out; and thank you so much for your prayers. We will be making several changes to the website over the next couple of weeks. SO PLEASE, KEEP CHECKING IN! We want to make it as user friendly as possible, so do not hesitate to give us feedback. Just click on the “contact us” button and start typing!

Blessings!
