Cat Clock Eyes

So... AMANDA IS FINALLY HERE! Thank you Lord. Right now we are sitting in bed, relaxing, listening to music, and enjoying each other.
Last week was all about preparing for Amanda’s arrival. We have only had two guys living in the apartment, so it was a little messy. I always say I am going to sweep and dust tomorrow, because I hate dirt. So I say I will do it tomorrow because I know it will get it dustier the following day. In reality, the dust here requires DAILY maintenance. So I finally dusted, swept, mopped, and got crazy with the anti-bacterial.
She gives the blow by blow here... so you can read that. We also uploaded pictures of the apartment, just in case you have not seen them yet.
I definitely missed the little things. Pepe was making fun of me because when I first got here I was very serious. As each week went by I started to smile a little more each day. By the night of Amanda’s arrival I looked like one of those cat clocks with the moving eyes. Now I smile all the time. I guess I did not realize that I was such a different person without my beautiful wife. It makes sense, but I had never really thought about it.
We did not do anything extremely eventful for the rest of the week. We went to the store and got a few odds and ends. We went and ate Pollo a la Braza, and D’nno’s pizza, (and Chifa). We slept. Amanda met new people. We slept some more.
On Sunday I preached on the Last Supper. I put alot of work into it, and Cesar (my translator) helped me out a ton. It went smoothly, and I know I was edified in the process. My prayer is that the congregation heard what God was putting on my heart. We need to be falling in love with Jesus, and sometimes it is so easy to fall in love with other things.
A short and sweet update. Hopefully these updates will start to have pictures soon. I did not have a camera when I came down, so it makes things a little more difficult to post with pictures.
Much Love from the P-E-R-U
